Course Overview:
COSHH is the law that requires employers to control substances that are hazardous to health.
This course has been designed to give employees the necessary information knowledge and
training to enhance their basic competence in the management of COSHH.
Course Details
- finding out what the health hazards are
- deciding how to prevent harm to health (risk assessment)
- providing control measures to reduce harm to health and making sure they are used
- keeping all control measures in good working order
- providing information, instruction and training for employees and others
- providing monitoring and health surveillance in appropriate cases
- planning for emergencies. e.g. identification of training requirements
- to gain an understanding of COSHH regulations and of the benefits and interactions of COSHH risk assessment within all areas and individual job roles
- identify different hazards in the workplace relating to COSHH
- identify various fire fighting equipment and there uses
- gain an understanding of the different types of Risk relating to COSHH
- ability to meet the HSE standards relating to COSHH legislation
- greater number of employees being able to deal with the principle of COSHH, controls and all documentation to support
